5. NAAMS CODES SEARCH DATABASE
This feature was added January 31, 2004 enabling you to search for NAAMS codes to verify if they are current, locate the chapter and page on which they are found, and display any comments, such as “Discontinued”. You have two search options:
A. Search for a NAAMS Code.
B. Search an entire chapter.
Currently
it is not possible to access the page from the database.
Please note that the database does not include entries for Section F, which uses a coding system that is different from the other chapters: F + 6 numeric instead of 3 alpha + 3 or 4 numeric + (sometimes) suffix. All parts with codes beginning with the letter F are found in section F. The first two numeric characters are the series number, which is listed in the third column of the index page.
